Final major project? Fashion photography art? Would you do something you love or something to get a job?
I mean I could do a project of fashion photography, but realistically I'll never get work as …. help … I do not know what job I'm actually able to get after my degree in fashion? What do I like my project … is fairly open, but no clothing design marketing … what whatsoever, promotion, photography, magazines,??
If your domain is fashionable while doing something that combines fashion photography & illustration fashion – perhaps combined with a certain degree. Make it look like an advertisement (or spread of ads) to be placed in a fashion magazine (pick the specific journal, because they all have a different target audience and look & feel). You probably will not be able to use a school project as part of a portfolio of work anyway – you'll probably have to create something custom. So do something you love and that will be fun for school. Do not load stressful to think this project helped you win a job or you have crippled your creativity. Keep two things distinct.
