When I visited the camera section of my local electronics store favorite I felt quite overwhelmed by the quantity and variety of cameras. My main goal was to obtain high image quality to post over the many websites that sell photo, so I really knew what I wanted: a good camera that produces Pictures Stock decent for a reasonable price.
To capture my attention from my camera selected had somehow beat the crowd. I really heard good things about the PowerShot G9 because I frequent a photography forum and was aware that many professional photographers where eagerly awaiting it's arrival on the market.
I must say that I am not a fan of big, bulky camera is an approach Visual First the PowerShot G9 was a Nice compact size. When you hold the hand grip felt firm and the device felt sturdy. With an ISO of 400, the device has promised good outlook on photos taken in low lit areas, however, I heard from friends that when large images may seem a little too grainy for my taste.
The best feature, at least for me since I am still at a level amatoriali, is that the camera took care of the focus, exposure and flash its self. The camera also offers optical image stabilization which, in summary, hopefully means no more blurred, unstable pictures. This is great for those quick shots where you do not have much time to focus on quality image.
Canon PowerShot is not all about image, it actually can shoot movies in high resolution and up to an hour! Although this is a plus, I consider it a great minus the fact that the memory of 32 MB included was probably able to take just 5 photos, create a need for more.
When I actually got to try the camera I was surprised by the number Special Scene modes, it was. My current camera was about 7, while Canon PowerShot proposed about 23! Some of them I found particularly interesting are the following: Foliage, Kids & Pets, submarine (yes, the camera is waterproof!) Aquarium and Beach. I however, miss the sunset on the basis of sunsets are truly one of my favorites things to shoot. For less than $ 500 Canon Powershot G9 12 Megapixel Digital Camera is a great buy. I must admit that the device was about $ 100 more than I really expected to spend, however, I see this as a long term investment for many my stock of photos taken with this device have finally been actually purchased!
