How do I create photographs very clear and focused?
On the web, some sites have photos that are so clear and look almost vitreous for them. For example, the homepage for Yahoo Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com/; _ylt = AnSobBEKzaAHD5aBxa9s_4B7grcF) always seem to feature a photography glassy clear; sites music artists (eg, http://www.johnlegend.com/index1. html) and other sites with pictures (http://carfreaks.net/). It might be just me but these photos appear to have an almost glassy. Is this the result of photography skilled, intelligent use of Photoshop, the how the page is designed, or the use of flash and CCS to improve their appearance? Or am I reading more into these pictures than there really?
It is usually a combination of both. There is much more to photography than just pointing and clicking. Lighting, aperture, shutter speed, lenses, filters … These are things that determine a portrait look good. Although some photographers use photoshop to enhance the image a little but there is not much you can do if the original photo is bad.
