The Madhavi Kapur Foundation has announced a series of AA
Art Workshops for women (young and not so young!)

But these art workshops is:
1. Discover personal development and creative
2. Increase self-confidence and improve self-esteem
3. Provide a vehicle and Environment for Social Development

4. Giving an overview and hands on experience
therapeutic value of art
5. Provide experience with a variety of art materials and
Art appreciation for relaxation, self development
communication.
6. Provide an opportunity to explore concerns and
difficulties in a safe, positive atmosphere.
The workshops are designed to give a variety of
experiences for individuals whatever their previous
experience of art or group work.
During the workshop participants in May to create work on topics
such as fear, sadness, joy, etc., focusing always on
process and not the product. This work is then the vehicle
to talk and communicate about important personal
experiences and concerns.
Duration workshops:
Tuesdays 5th, 12th, 19th and August 26 and September 2
2008, 10-2.
Rights Joined:
(inclusive of all art materials, tuition, snacks and tea.)

"The Educational Value of Art —
for those who work with children or youth;
teachers, counselors, social workers, etc.

Through this workshop, participants will
have the opportunity to explore a range of art materials,
review the work of certain artists and reflect on the different
ways that art can benefit their students.
Only when we have worked with art materials we
can we be fully effective in working with others.
Undertake creative work on topics such as anger, regret,
guilt and Love can give us the opportunity to voice
unsaid. Art releases and expressed in a confined environment and
manageable way.
It can provide a valuable bridge of communication between
students and students and between students and teachers.
Through these art workshops, participants will
presented a range of materials and methods.
While confidence building, focusing on the process and
not produced, they also have personal experience

Previous experience and knowledge of art is irrelevant.
However, it is vital to have personal experience of art
materials and exercises to facilitate this work before
with others.
We must inspire and be our own path
in order to become more empathetic, accepting, in harmony
and fruitful with those with whom we work and live.

Workshops are designed and conducted by Susan Bullough-Khare
Susan received her educational training in England where, in addition to teaching, she also worked as an occupational therapist in a psychiatric unit, including theater in services locked and a parent house located in a home for disturbed children.
For over twenty years she has lived in Ireland where, in addition to raising son and two running a small farm, she was director of the Intercultural Education Program for Education Kerry Center. She also consultantspecialising worked as a freelance in the arts and
Intercultural education and have offered classes for girls with special needs.
She has conducted arts education projects for several arts festivals in Ireland, including the Millennium Development Goals in Dublin and in Kerry Cibeal. She gave presentations and held exhibitions of his work for conferences in Ireland, England, Scotland, Netherlands, Portugal and India.
In 2007, Susan attended and was guest speaker at a seminar on "best practices in the fight against racism Training" Dublin, Ireland. More recently (June 2008) Susan has participated in a project at the South Bank Center, London, called "The Art and Craft of saving the world" e Xploring ecology, climate change and the environment through artistic encounters, exchanges and participation through art and crafts.
Susan organizes workshops for career development for teachers on many aspects such as education creative display and management of classroom discipline. It provides for exploration of creative workshops and independent expression for women, teachers, parents, youth and minority groups.
Susan traveled to India regularly since January 1988 and has grass-roots experience of working artists and artisans people in different states. She used her arts and international education programs to develop cultural exchange projects between Schools in India, Ireland and England.
These interactions over a long period of time has given him a valuable perspective from India and experience, inside and outside the classroom, enables him to empathize with teachers and parents and, through its workshops, provide a personal experience of the creative process.
She took courses with BAAT (British Association of Art Therapist) including the "Foundation Course in Art Therapy" and includes aspects of art therapy in its workshops.
Susan facilitates regular workshops on the therapeutic value of art for NGOs, including those working with alternative treatments in mental health. She has worked with travelers, Roma and refugee children, young inner-city Dublin and India, peace and reconciliation projects, centers for substance abuse, social work student exchange programs and groups from minority communities.
She also works as a photographer and produced packaging education using their own photography as a teaching tool. His photographs have appeared in many books, magazines and exhibitions on India and Indian culture.
